My Haiku Portfolio

Haiku is one of my favorite poetic forms because, despite its brevity, it leaves a lasting impact—like a single drop of perfume lingering in the air. My haiku have been published in several online magazines, including 5-7-5 Haiku Journal, View from Atlantis, and Sense & Sensibility.

I explore a wide range of themes, from traditional nature imagery:

Trees sway on the road,
Whispers of the wind playing,
Echoes of my past.

(5-7-5 Haiku Journal; January 24, 2025)

To thought-provoking social commentary:

Children suffer through
endless horrors and the pain—
the world stays silent.

(5-7-5 Haiku Journal; November 13, 2024)

Some of my haiku reflect personal, intimate moments:

Mum’s hug as Prozac,
effect finer than warm bath—
take it as needed.

(5-7-5 Haiku Journal; December 17, 2024)

I also enjoy experimenting with modern haiku sub-genres, such as horror haiku (horrorku):

Witch brews midnight tea,
vampire sneaks taste, then winces—
“Garlic? Really, witch?”

(5-7-5 Haiku Journal; January 5, 2025)

Ghostly figures drift,
Casper’s throwing a party,
“Just don’t scare the snacks!”

(View from Atlantis; October 28, 2024)

And sometimes, I like to add a touch of humor:

Pomeranian—
queen of attitude, barking
in C minor’s call.

(Sense & Sensibility; February 24, 2025)

Poetry, for me, is both an art and a conversation. Whether through nature, introspection, or humor, I strive to create haiku that resonate beyond the page.
